The Williamsville South Billies pushed their score all the way to 57 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 70-57 to St. Francis. Williamsville South has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
St. Francis was led to victory by Jeremiah Neely and Nicholas Bienko. Neely scored 17 points along with seven rebounds, while Bienko scored 14 points along with six assists and three steals. The game was Neely's third in a row with at least ten points. Nolan Edwards was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five assists and four steals.
Williamsville South now has a losing record at 1-2. As for St. Francis, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Williamsville South does not have any more games scheduled as of now. St. Francis will be home for the holidays to greet Frontier at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Frontier's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
