The Legacy Charter Eagles entered their tilt with the Santa Fe Catholic Hawks with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Legacy Charter really took it to Santa Fe Catholic for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-5 win at home. With Legacy Charter ahead 34-3 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
It was another big night for Mallory Daniels, who scored 29 points along with six steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Legacy Charter's points. Ashlyn Kraus was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 assists.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Santa Fe Catholic struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Legacy Charter racked up 18 assists.
Legacy Charter's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Santa Fe Catholic, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.
Legacy Charter will head out on the road to take on Mount Dora at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Legacy Charter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Tuesday. As for Santa Fe Catholic, they and St. John Lutheran will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Santa Fe Catholic comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last ten games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
