The Crespi Celts will be playing at home against the Paraclete Spirits at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Crespi and three for Paraclete.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Crespi, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 42-27 loss to St. Francis. While losing is never fun, Crespi can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 388th, while St. Francis is ranked 59th).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Elijah Pendleton, who picked up 97 receiving yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Masyn Harvey, who threw for 180 yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Paraclete took a serious blow against Loyola on Friday, falling 36-7. Paraclete was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-0.
The losses dropped Crespi to 2-7 and Paraclete to 6-3.
Crespi was dealt a bruising 56-21 defeat at the hands of Paraclete in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Will Crespi have more luck at home instead of on the road?
