The Oak Ridge War Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Willis Wildkats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, Oak Ridge came up short against the Panthers and fell 58-47. Oak Ridge has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Willis pushed their score all the way to 57 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to The Woodlands 62-57.
Despite their defeat, Willis saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jermaine Bishop jr, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and six steals, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Chandler Beasley, who scored 15 points.
Oak Ridge has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-20 record this season. As for Willis, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-11.
Things could have been worse for Oak Ridge, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 72-55 loss to the Wildkats in their previous meeting back in January. Can Oak Ridge avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
