The Cape Henlopen Vikings are on the road again on Friday and play against the Salesianum Sallies at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Cape Henlopen: 15.8, Salesianum: 15.5) so any points scored will be well earned.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Cape Henlopen walked away with it. They breezed by the Golden Knights on the road to the tune of 46-14. The result was nothing new for Cape Henlopen, who have now won five games by 28 points or more so far this season.
Maurki James continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 191 yards and four touchdowns. James hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for eight straight games.
Meanwhile, Salesianum came tearing into Friday's game with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 24-14 victory over Middletown.
Cape Henlopen has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Salesianum, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home.
Cape Henlopen came up short against Salesianum when the teams last played back in September of 2022, falling 28-21. Can Cape Henlopen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
