The Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They claimed a resounding 75-40 victory over Sheldon at home. Given Cosumnes Oaks' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 269th, while Sheldon is ranked 642nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Isabel Tan, who went 8 for 16 from beyond the arc en route to 31 points and 2 assists. She hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Caitlin Subejano, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Cosumnes Oaks pushed their record up to 17-11 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Sheldon, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-19 record this season.
Cosumnes Oaks will face off against Antelope at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Antelope's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 15 matchups. Sheldon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
