The Larue County Hawks lost against the Central Yellowjackets back in November of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Larue County took a serious blow against Central, falling 50-7. While losing is never fun, Larue County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky football rankings (they are ranked 128th, while Central is ranked 37th).
Cortez Stone had a dynamite game for Central, rushing for 213 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per carry. Justin Brents was in the mix too, providing Central with two touchdowns.
This is the second loss in a row for Larue County and nudges their season record down to 0-9. Sadly, the team can't blame their woes on tough opposition, as that stretch included 2-6 Elizabethtown and 4-5 Central. As for Central, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
Larue County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Central is also done with their season.
