The Heidelberg Oilers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. They suffered a tough 75-51 defeat at the hands of Hattiesburg. Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hattiesburg to victory, but perhaps none more so than Logan Burns, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Stephen McCullon Jr. was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
Heidelberg bumped their record down to 5-13 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Hattiesburg, the win was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-1.
