The Braxton County Eagles fell victim to the Lincoln County Panthers''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 38-0 loss at the hands of the Panthers. Braxton County just can't catch a break and has now endured five defeats in a row.
Lucas johaim looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 182 yards and three touchdowns while completing 86.7% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Drew Banks, who gained 120 total yards and a touchdown.
Braxton County's defeat was their fifth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-8. As for Lincoln County, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-6.
Braxton County will head out on the road to face off against Berkeley Springs at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Berkeley Springs is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Lincoln County, they will take on Riverside at TBD on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in West Virginia (Riverside is ranked 57th, while Lincoln County is ranked 64th).
