Make it four blowout wins for the Spring Valley Timberwolves this season. Everything went their way against Riverside on Wednesday as Spring Valley made off with a 67-42 win. With Spring Valley ahead 38-18 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Laila Campbell, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Ward, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds.
Spring Valley has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Riverside, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.
Spring Valley will head out on the road to square off against Cabell Midland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cabell Midland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps West Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 41st, while Spring Valley is ranked eighth). As for Riverside, they will be playing at home against Capital at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Capital comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
