The El Dorado Cougars will square off against the Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully El Dorado focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday.
A well-balanced attack led El Dorado over Bradshaw Christian in every quarter on their way to victory. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that El Dorado blew Bradshaw Christian out of the water with a 56-21 final score. The victory was just what El Dorado needed coming off of a 60-40 loss in their prior game.
Alana Schneider continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a triple-double on 20 points, 14 rebounds, and nine steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of El Dorado's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Fulton, who scored five points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 63-20, which was the final score in Twelve Bridges' tilt against Colfax on Friday. Twelve Bridges has not had much luck with Colfax recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Tiffany Liu put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored six points.
El Dorado pushed their record up to 16-11 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points per game. As for Twelve Bridges, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-17.
