Each week during the season (regular and
post), there will be a fan-generated contest to
tab weekly winners. Each winner receives a digital award patch for their MaxPreps player page.
How does it
work? Nominees are selected from
statistics submitted on MaxPreps. Coaches who do not have current access may
request their free account here.
Weekly finalists are released on MaxPreps every
Tuesday and voting is conducted in a special poll.
Voting ceases at noon on Mondays. The winners are announced the next day
along with the next week's nominees.
Participants may vote as many
times as they want. It's a competition.

the Week Nominees
* Cohen Hoover, Lewisburg Football
Junior kicked three field goals (39, 29 and 19 yards), scored a TD on a fake punt (73 yards) and kicked the ensuing extra point to score all 16 points in a 16-13 win over Shamokin Area.
* Matthew Machalik, Palmerton Football
Senior carried the ball 11 times for 209 yards and five TDs, completed 14-of-17 passes for 184 yards and a TD, made three tackles and returned an interception 33 yards for a TD in a 54-30 win over Lehighton.
* Luke Hostetler, Windber Football
Junior carried the ball 22 times for 320 yards and four TDs in a 51-6 win over Glendale.
* Jacob Benton, Central (Martinsburg) Football
Senior caught six passes for 234 yards and two TDs in a 49-0 win over Bellefonte.
* Quadir Stribling, Serra Catholic (McKeesport) Football
Junior completed 35-of-49 passes for 442 yards and six TDs in a 49-42 loss to North Catholic.
* Aiden Hess, Catasauqua Football
Junior completed 11-of-17 passes for 208 yards and five TDs and carried the ball four times for 44 yards and a TD in a 48-22 win over Northern Lehigh.
* Ethen Knox, Oil City Football
Senior carried the ball 11 times for 218 yards and six TDs in a 76-0 win over Warren.
* Payton Wehner, Central Catholic (Pittsburgh) Football
Senior completed 15-of-19 passes for 312 yards and five TDs in a 43-7 win over Woodland Hills.
