Even though the Park View Patriots scored an imposing 64 points on Tuesday, the Heritage Pride still came out on top. Heritage snuck past Park View with a 69-64 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Heritage also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Park View lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Messiah Dixon, who scored 26 points. Dixon's trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Noah Calalang, who scored 20 points.
Heritage's victory ended a 11-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-12. As for Park View, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Broad Run at 7:15 p.m. on January 24th. Broad Run presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Heritage in Virginia (Broad Run is ranked 88th, while Heritage is ranked 342nd). As for Park View, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Loudoun County at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
