The Burbank Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their tenth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a rough 73-24 loss at the hands of River City. Burbank was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-21.
Burbank lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Aniyah Bufford, who scored five points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Bufford hasn't dropped below two steals for 14 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Larayna Osako-Cain, who scored eight points along with five steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Burbank struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They are winless (0-5) when they can't control their own glass like that.
Burbank has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 14 of their last 16 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season. As for River City, their victory bumped their record up to 12-15.
