The Cambridge Lions won the last time they faced the Westwood Wildcats, and things went their way on Thursday too. Cambridge blew past Westwood 52-31.
Westwood's loss came despite strong showings from Matthew Suk and Evan Ludeman. Suk scored 17 points, while Ludeman scored six points along with 12 rebounds and seven blocks. Suk scored a full 54.8% of Westwood's points, the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Even though they lost, Westwood were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Cambridge pushed their record up to 3-3 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.7 points per game. As for Westwood, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Coincidentally, Cambridge and Westwood will both be playing Providence Academy the next time they take the court. Cambridge will host Providence Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Westwood will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th.
