The Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack lost to the Woodcreek Timberwolves back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. Cosumnes Oaks enjoyed a cozy 65-50 win over Woodcreek. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Cosumnes Oaks.
Cosumnes Oaks found their leader in underclassman Caitlin Subejano, who went 7 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 39 points and 2 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Subejano has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Nya Barron, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Woodcreek lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ryan Nair, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Nair has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Amaya Grant, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Cosumnes Oaks' win bumped their record up to 15-10. As for Woodcreek, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12.
Cosumnes Oaks will head out on the road to square off against Pleasant Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Cosumnes Oaks focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday. As for Woodcreek, they will be playing at home against River Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodcreek is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.7 points per game this season.
