The Poca The Dots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight defeat. They fell to Sissonville 51-47. Poca was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played two weeks ago.
Sissonville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Max Moore out in front who scored 19 points. Dylan Casto was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with two steals.
Poca has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Sissonville, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Poca will take on the Bison at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Buffalo knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully the The Dots like a good challenge. As for Sissonville, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Minutemen at 7:00 p.m. on February 5th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in West Virginia (Lewis County is ranked 26th, while the Indians are ranked 40th).
