Westfield is 10-0 against Chantilly since February of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. Last Tuesday, Westfield came up short against South Lakes and fell 67-55. Westfield has struggled against South Lakes recently, as their game on Tuesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Westfield had strong showings from Jemon Price, who scored 22 points, and William Robinson, who scored 19 points. Price is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight.
Meanwhile, Chantilly scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They secured a 69-65 W over Centreville. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Chantilly as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chantilly to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amare Elshoush, who scored 18 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Swindell, who scored 11 points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Westfield's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Chantilly, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-11.
Westfield strolled past Chantilly in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 62-48. The rematch might be a little tougher for Westfield since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
