Albany Academy for Boys walked away with a 62-55 win over Rice Memorial. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Meanwhile, even though Lowville scored an imposing 56 points on Monday, Utica Academy of Science still came out on top. Utica Academy of Science strolled past Lowville with points to spare, taking the game 70-56. Utica Academy of Science pushed the score to 65-36 by the end of the third, a deficit Lowville cut but never quite recovered from.
Doneilious King j.r was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Utica Academy of Science's points. Another player making a difference was Jazier Brown, who scored 20 points along with two steals.
Albany Academy for Boys' win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Utica Academy of Science, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-13.
