This season hasn't been kind to the Farmington Falcons, who are still winless after their fifth match. They fell 64-53 to Franklin on Friday. While losing is never fun, Farmington can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 526th, while Franklin is ranked 144th).
Franklin was led to victory by Owen Pittenger and Mitch Cronyn. Pittenger scored 15 points along with six assists and six rebounds, while Cronyn scored 22 points along with seven rebounds. The match was Cronyn's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kameron Webster, who scored seven points.
Farmington bumped their record down to 0-5 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Franklin, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Farmington will be home for the holidays to greet Bloomfield Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bloomfield Hills is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Franklin, they will play host again and welcome Dearborn, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
