The Trigg County Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the St. Mary Vikings at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, Trigg County suffered a rough 83-60 defeat at the hands of Dawson Springs. Trigg County was down 66-43 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Meanwhile, St. Mary waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They came out on top against Paducah Tilghman by a score of 60-52.
Trigg County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for St. Mary, they pushed their record up to 16-9 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Trigg County skirted past St. Mary 72-70 in their previous meeting back in March of 2021. The rematch might be a little tougher for Trigg County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
