The Mountain View Toros's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell just short of Red Mountain by a score of 46-44. Mountain View was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Red Mountain apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Red Mountain's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gage Lindsey, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. Lindsey is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Griffin, who scored seven points.
Mountain View dropped their record down to 8-14 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Red Mountain, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
Mountain View will head out on the road to face off against Westwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Red Mountain, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Skyline at 7:00 p.m. Skyline will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 254th, while Red Mountain is ranked 112th).
