Teoscar Hernández, Clayton Kershaw, Tyler Glasnow and Brusdar Graterol, Dodgers

Manager Dave Roberts remains optimistic that Hernández can return to the starting lineup on Tuesday vs. the Cubs, after it looked as if he might be headed for the injured list. Hernández was hit in the left foot by a pitch Friday against the Guardians and has not played since.

Kershaw (bone spur in big left toe) had a throwing session while wearing tennis shoes on Monday, even trying some throws without one shoe. He was removed after one-plus inning on Aug. 30 due to a sore left big toe and was placed on the IL the next day.

Glasnow (right elbow tendinitis) threw a 25-pitch bullpen session on Saturday and is set for another one on Tuesday, leading into a simulated game on Friday once the Dodgers are in Atlanta.

After two rehab appearances with Triple-A Oklahoma City, Graterol (right hamstring strain) will likely be activated for the final game of the series against the Cubs on Wednesday.

Alec Bohm, J.T. Realmuto and Edmundo Sosa, Phillies

Bohm (left hand strain) and Realmuto (left knee contusion) are both eyeing returns to the Phillies lineup this weekend against the Mets.

Sosa was placed on the 10-day IL Sunday, retroactive to Saturday, with back spasms. More >

Bo Bichette, Blue Jays

Bichette (right calf strain) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday. Bichette is on track to return for the Blue Jays' series next week on the road against the Rangers, but manager John Schneider said that they'll evaluate him daily. More >

Jacob deGrom and Max Scherzer, Rangers

deGrom (Tommy John surgery) tossed four scoreless innings, allowing one hit, with five strikeouts for the Double-A Frisco RoughRiders on Saturday, while Scherzer (right shoulder fatigue) threw four hitless innings for Triple-A Round Rock. Both pitchers are hopeful to rejoin the Rangers this week. More >

Luis Castillo and Victor Robles, Mariners

Castillo left Sunday's game against the Cardinals in the fourth inning with a left hamstring strain.

Robles, who has been dealing with left elbow soreness stemming from three hit-by-pitches in a two-day span earlier in the week, was out of the starting lineup for the second straight game on Sunday. More >

Jeff McNeil and Kodai Senga, Mets

McNeil will miss at least the remainder of the regular season with a right wrist fracture. He was placed on the 10-day IL on Sunday. More >

Senga (high-grade left calf strain) threw another standard 25-pitch bullpen on Saturday, continuing his buildup toward returning. The Mets could even consider using Senga as a reliever to get him back quicker. More >

Ryan Mountcastle, Orioles

Manager Brandon Hyde said on Monday that he believes Mountcastle (left wrist sprain) will return before the end of the regular season, although there's not an exact timeline. More >

Liam Hendriks, Red Sox

Hendriks (right UCL surgery) is in a holding pattern as he recovers from some recent tightness in his elbow following his sixth Minor League rehab outing. He still plans on pitching for the Red Sox this season. More >

Ryan Weathers and Braxton Garrett, Marlins

Weathers (left index finger strain) threw 64 pitches (39 strikes), giving up four runs (two earned) on six hits over 2 2/3 innings for Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday. His next outing is scheduled for Friday, when the Marlins intend to have him throw five innings or 80 pitches.

Garrett (left forearm flexor strain) is expected to make another rehab appearance for Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday and is expected to go four innings or 60 pitches. He began a rehab assignment with Single-A Jupiter on Sept. 5, scattering two hits, striking out five and walking two in three scoreless innings. More >

DJ LeMahieu, Yankees

LeMahieu was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday with a right hip impingement. More >

Jonathan India, Hunter Greene, Sam Moll and Nick Lodolo, Reds

India exited Sunday's game against the Mets due to left elbow discomfort.

Greene (right elbow soreness) threw his first side bullpen session on Thursday and had another scheduled for Sunday.

Moll was placed on the 15-day IL Sunday with left shoulder impingement. He has been dealing with the injury since June.

Lodolo (left middle finger sprain) plans to meet the Reds in St. Louis on Tuesday. If he can bend his finger “all the way,” then Lodolo is going to start throwing, according to manager David Bell. More >

Davis was placed on the injured list Sunday, retroactive to Thursday, with left hand inflammation. More >

Brenton Doyle, Rockies

Doyle is receiving treatment for pain in his left hand stemming from a diving catch in Saturday's game against the Brewers. He was held out of the lineup on Sunday, but no imaging is scheduled. More >

Lowe (right middle finger inflammation) was out of the lineup for a fourth straight game on Monday but he hit a game-tying pinch-hit home run in the ninth inning.

Lorenzen (left hamstring strain) threw a successful 44-pitch bullpen on Saturday and is on track to make a rehab start with Double-A Northwest Arkansas on Tuesday. More >

Williams (right flexor muscle strain) is expected to begin a rehab assignment, likely with Double-A Harrisburg, on Tuesday. More >

Whit Merrifield, Braves

Merrifield suffered a left foot fracture when he fouled a foul ball off his foot on Friday night. After originally thinking he would miss at least six weeks, Merrifield gained a sense he might actually return to action next weekend after meeting with a foot specialist on Saturday. More >

Dubón exited Friday's game after jamming his left thumb when he slid into first base headfirst. Astros manager Joe Espada said Dubón tested the thumb fielding and swinging the bat prior to Saturday's game and it was still sore, so he was held out of the lineup. He remained out Sunday. More >
