Full name is Tristan Colby Gray...Attended Rice University in Houston, Texas, where he played three years of college baseball at Rice (2015-17), where he was teammates and roommates with Marlins outfielder Dane Myers. They also played on the same travel ball team growing up...Prior to his 13th round selection in the 2017 Draft, Gray was selected by the Mets in the 37th round of the 2014 First-Year Player Draft out of Lawrence E. Elkins (Texas) High School...His father, Jason, was selected by the Rangers in the 26th round of the 2000 Draft out of Rice University.

Spent the majority of the season with Triple-A Durham, hitting .235 (110x468) with 25 doubles, 30 home runs, 98 RBI and a .797 OPS in a career-high 132 games. Also set career highs in hits and RBI...Ranked T-4th in the International League in home runs and extra-base hits (56)...Made his Major League debut on Sept. 16 at BAL. Entered in the sixth inning at first base. Popped out in his only at bat in the eighth inning...Started his first ML game on Sept. 17 at BAL, going 2x4 with a solo homer in the eighth inning off Jorge López (first career home run)...Elected free agency following the 2023 season and signed with Miami as a Minor League free agent on Nov. 16.

Acquired by the Rays during Spring Training and spent the season with Class-A Charlotte…led the Florida State League with 38 2B and 53 XBH, and ranked 4th with 69 RBI…named FSL Player of the Week for July 30-Aug 5, batting .296 (8-for-27) with 3 HR and 11 RBI…recorded a career-high 7 RBI in his multi-HR game on Aug 5 at Dunedin (Blue Jays)…hit .321/.410/.583 (50-for-156) with 10 HR and 41 RBI in 39 games for the Perth Heat in the Australian Baseball League.
