How to Apply

  • Submit One Application for Admission
Use either our first-year application or apply with the Common App. Select the option that is right for you, but only submit one application.
  • Request Your Official High School Transcript
Request to have an official copy of your transcript sent to us through your school counselor or a service such as Parchment. Your transcript must show grades through your junior year.
  • Submit Your Official SAT and/or ACT Test Scores (Optional)
Students applying for fall 2025 admission do not need to submit test scores, unless their GPA is below a 3.00. If you would like to submit your SAT or ACT, we will only utilize scores if it strengthens your application. Our SAT code is 1464; ACT code is 2030.
  • Provide Supplemental Information (Optional)
If you'd like your counselor to share information with us regarding your high school academic performance, have them submit the High School Counselor Information form. Your counselor can also use this form to have your test scores sent to Michigan Tech at no cost to you. If you choose to send any letters of recommendation or additional materials, they will be reviewed along with your application.
  • Submit Additional Application Materials (Select Majors)
Students applying to the following majors may need to submit additional application materials:
