Detectives: Pinellas Deputy was in possession of porn featuring children, animals

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. (WWSB) - Detectives with the Crimes Against Children Unit have arrested a Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Detention Deputy for several disturbing charges.

Detectives received information that child pornography was being accessed and shared via the internet. After investigation, detectives identified the suspect as 33-year-old Trevor Willis.

Willis has been arrested for Possession of Child Pornography, Sexual Activity Involving Animals, and Transmission of Child Pornography.

According to detectives, the videos were of children between the ages of five and fifteen years old. In addition to the child pornography, detectives also located videos depicting a child engaging in sexual activities with a dog.

Detectives say Willis used his personal cellphone while on duty at the jail and was logged into the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office agency Wi-Fi while viewing the videos.

When detectives interviewed Willis, he admitted to obtaining and sending the child pornography files.

Willis was taken into custody without incident.

On July 1, 2024, at 9:23 a.m., Willis resigned from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.
