Joins Charlotte for camp
A two-time Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year at Rutgers, McConnell spent the 2023-24 season with the G League's Oklahoma City Blue. McConnell will join the Hornets for training camp to compete for a final roster spot, but he'll most likely end up with the Greensboro Swarm.

Signs deal with Charlotte
Garrett will join the Hornets for training camp and is likely going to end up playing for the G League's Greensboro Swarm. Since graduating from Kansas in 2021, Garrett has spent most of his time in the G League, but he did make 12 NBA appearances for the Heat on a two-way contract as a rookie.

Misses Summer League with injury
After going undrafted out of St. John's in June, the 24-year-old center reportedly agreed to an Exhibit 10 deal with the Hornets, though the club has yet to officially announce his signing. The expectation remains that Soriano will join the Hornets for training camp, but it's not clear if he'll be fully healthy by that point. Regardless, Soriano is a long shot to make the Hornets' season-opening roster and will most likely be headed for the G League's Greensboro Swarm.
