R G Foster, age 73, of Springfield was born on March 23, 1951, in Nottinghill, MO to Bernie Hoover and Edna Earl (Seymer) Foster. He passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024, after a short illness in Cox Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri. He attended Washington High School in Kansas City where he excelled as a student and played football. After graduating, he went on the attend Kansas University on a football scholarship.

R G was a proficient architect and helped to design beautiful structures all over Springfield, Missouri. His masterful designs will leave an indelible mark on this community. His skill as an architect shone throughout his career where he dedicated over 30 years to his craft at Bates and Associates, later retiring from Butler, Rosenbury & Partners (BRP). R G was united in marriage to Terri Greer on March 20, 1994, at Thorne Crown Chapel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

After retirement, R G dedicated most of his time to his family. He treasured spending time with his wife Terri, children Tiffany, Lance, Dawn, Misty, and Michael, as well as his twelve grandchildren and great-grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his father, his niece, Sara and granddaughter, Mira.

R G is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Terri Foster; his mother, Edna Foster; five children and their spouses, Tiffany and Mike Lowe, Lance Foster and Trayci Terpenning; Dawn Perry and Randall Guess; Misty Perry and Rodney Seward; Michael and Terri Sue Bill; twelve grandchildren: Tre Donson, Avery Donson, Anthony Hemsworth, Emily Johnson, Jason Kelly, Summer Guess, Amarra Guess , Van Terpenning, Stricklen Terpenning, Brody Foster, Chas Carr, and Audrey Carr; ten great-grandchildren, and many other family members and friends.

To honor his memory, a funeral service will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield on July 8, 2024, at 1:00 pm, followed by a graveside service at Gaulding Cemetery in Ozark County, Missouri.
