Melva Lee (Morrison) Fogle was called to her heavenly home on July 6, 2024 at the age of 92. Melva was born on March 24th, 1932 in Elijah, Mo and was the oldest of 3 daughters born to John & Louise (Luna) Roberts. Melva graduated from Gainesville, Mo in 1949 where she meet and married her high school sweetheart Nolen B. Morrison. Melva grew up in Ozark County Mo living a simple life in Elijah, Mo. Some of her favorite memories were growing up with her sisters Vernetta (Wilhoit) & Betty (Amyx). As a young girl Melva played the guitar and sang on the West Plains Radio Station KWPM with her sister Vernetta in 1946 where they met and sang with Porter Wagner. After a new job opportunity was offered to Nolen the family moved to St. Joseph, Mo in 1967 where Melva became a very successful Realtor, even serving as President of the St. Joseph Board of Realtors and serving on several state committees and won several awards for her service. Melva moved back to Springfield, Mo in 1984 after Nolen's death where she enjoyed playing golf and spending time with her kids and grandchildren. She met Jerry Fogle Jr. and they married in March of 1990 and she moved to Aurora, Mo. Jerry preceded her in death in 2011. Melva moved back to Springfield, Mo and was a member of East Grand Church of Christ at the time of her death. She accepted Jesus at an early age and was baptized in a creek behind the Elijah Church of Christ. Melva was preceded in death by her two husbands, her daughter Michele Slone, sisters Vernetta and Betty, brother-in-law and sister -in-law Rex & Nadine Ebrite, and brother-in-law Gary Morrison.

Melva is survived by her sons: Daniel Morrison (June) and Brad Morrison (Shana), stepsons - Brian Fogle (Renee), David Fogle, and Mark Fogle (Phyllis) along with several grand and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, step-grandchildren and those that knew her simply as Mimi. The family would like to thank Phoenix Hospice staff and Jacob's Ladder staff for their kind and caring services to our mother.

A farewell celebration will be held Wednesday July 10th, 2024 at 12:00 with family receiving friends one hour prior to services at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home in Springfield, Mo under the direction of Sheldon-Goodrich Funeral Home. This will be a closed casket service per Melva's request.
