Sisters Film Hilarious Moment Parents Realize They Left Eldest Kid Behind

Some of us may have childhood memories of losing our parents in a grocery store or park, but one woman has gone viral after posting a video of the moment her family realized they had lost her sister somewhere less common: a McDonald's.

On May 25, TikTok user @autumnnngracee amused the internet when she posted a clip of her parents' reaction when they noticed they had left their eldest daughter behind after visiting the fast-food chain.

"Throwback to 5 years ago when my mom and dad both forgot my oldest sister at mcdonalds and me and my middle sister wasnt going to say a word and then my mom finally noticed," the poster wrote in text that appears in the video, which has received more than 6 million views and 1 million likes.

The video shows the poster's father driving away from McDonald's as the sisters laugh, knowing their older sister is still at the restaurant.

Their mother soon realizes the mistake, saying: "Oh my gosh! We forgot Lindsay." Her reaction causes the sisters to laugh harder, and the parents eventually join in.

"She went to the bathroom, and we forgot," the father says as he changes course, seemingly to head back to the fast-food chain to pick up his abandoned daughter.

In the video's comments section, TikTok users speculated on how the poster's mom came to realize her daughter was missing and the aftermath of the mistake.

"Your mom heard y'all cackling and she's like, wait a minute, I'm missing one," a commenter wrote.

Another added, "From now until eternity you will hear 'Like the time you forgot me at McDonalds!'"

Viewers were desperate to know how Lindsay reacted to being ditched, and the poster said: "SHE. WAS. LIVID. We were all still laughing and I think there was steam coming out of her ears and the more we laughed the more mad she got, but she got over it eventually and started laughing with us."

Other users shared anecdotes of forgetting or being forgotten by their families.

"My mom drove by the middle school and saw a kid sitting on the front step long after school was out and realized it was my brother that no one remembered to pick up," one wrote.

"Omg, not me forgetting my youngest son out of 3 after his soccer practice," another said. "We didn't even notice till we were getting home and one of the coaches called us asking us about him."

A commenter added: "We forgot my older brother in TN on our way to Louisiana, I waved when we were leaving the gas station, 44 years later he still gets mad at me."
