SCHOLARSHIPS: Eden Becnel, from Academy of Our Lady in Marrero, and Lauren Saunders, from Mount Carmel Academy in New Orleans, were named recipients of the Republican Women's Club of Jefferson Parish $1,000 scholarships. The scholarships are awarded annually to two high school seniors who reside in Jefferson Parish. Mary Anderson is RWCJP scholarship chair.
