With all due respect, I know Insurance Commissioner Tim Temple's task is not easy and the work is increasingly complex, but his dismissal of vocal opponents is disingenuous. It shows that he hasn't truly listened to their struggle and complaints, and yet he's lent an ear to the insurance agencies.

His policies will help provide more agencies in the short term but in the next five to 10 years, many will be forced to leave the state permanently. The little protections he has already stripped from consumers will give consumers no other recourse but to turn to lawyers and the justice system to receive payouts for things covered by policies. This will, in turn, raise costs for everyone including his friends in the insurance industry, causing many to pay out less but go insolvent and leave the state.
