Annual Yard Sale Saturday, October 9th from 7:30 am-1 pm
Get ready to shop or clear out your closets and sign up to sell. Sign up is $5 for OSHNA members and $15 for non-OSHNA members (includes year membership.) You'll get:

  • Your address on the OSHNA yard sale map;
  • Advertising in multiple local papers/online yard sale forums;
  • Pick up of any leftover items by a local charity; and 
  • An OSHNA yard sale sign delivered to your house Friday along with copies of the map for you to share with customers. 

The deadline to get on the map is Thursday, October 7th at 8 pm.

Hybrid Quarterly Meeting Tuesday, Oct 26th at 6:30 pm
We will be hosting another hybrid quarterly meeting! We encourage everyone to participate in person, online, or by phone. If you have not been vaccinated and plan to attend in person, we ask that you wear a mask out of respect for public health. This quarter's topics include:

  • Sierra Club presentation on the safety of Tampa's PURE initiative to treat wastewater and inject it back into the aquifer
  • What is HB 401 and what does it mean for Old Seminole Heights zoning?
  • OSHNA election
  • FDOT update
  • OSHNA committee updates

Seminole Heights Garden Tour Sunday, Oct 24th
It's time again for the annual  Seminole Heights Garden Tour , hosted by the Friends of the Seminole Heights Library. This year's tour will take place Sunday, October 24th from 11 am-4 pm and begins at the Seminole Heights Library, 4711 N. Central Ave.

This is an outdoor, socially-distanced event. Tour goers can stroll participating gardens at their own pace. Entry times into the gardens are staggered throughout the day to help limit the attendance at any of the gardens.

Tickets are $25 and all proceeds support programming at the Seminole Heights Library.

The Garden Tour is still seeking Seminole Heights business owners who want to support the work of the Friends of the Seminole Heights Library. Consider donating an ad in this year's Garden Tour brochure—put your business in the spotlight while giving back to your community. What could be better? Seminole Heights Dog Pack Walk Halloween Costume
Paw-ty—Saturday, October 30th at 9:30 am at Henry and Ola Park

Join us for the Ninth Annual Seminole Heights Dog Pack Halloween Costume Paw-ty!

It’s an opportunity to showcase your talents and come up with costumes for you and your pooch(es). We’ll have two staging areas for photos, as well as snacks and drinks for both dogs and humans. Costumes, masks, and social distancing are highly encouraged!

We will meet up (as we do every week) at Henry and Ola Park at 9:30 am on Saturday, October 30th. From there, we’ll take a leisurely walk to Epps Park to celebrate. Come join our Halloween Costume Paw-ty!
Spooky Stroll—Saturday, October 30th from 6-8:30 pm at TRIBE (Seminole Heights United Methodist)

We are excited to "scare" you at our 2nd " Spooky Stroll " event on Halloween Eve, Saturday, October 30th. Guests to this event will be guided along a marked path of Halloween activities and fun displays.

Last year, this was our biggest event of the year, and we have plans to make it even better! We also have some special guests joining us this year!

Spooky Stroll is TRIBE's fall fundraiser, donations to our nonprofit community center are much appreciated! However, we understand the need for affordable family events that are planned with health and safety in mind, so we have priced tickets at $1 per person, with an optional additional contribution. Reservations are required, however, so please click the ticket link and let us know how many are in your party, and choose your arrival window.

Costumes encouraged, masks requested. Guests are asked to be mindful to maintain a respectful distance from other families who may be socializing with varying levels of comfort, and to refrain from touching displays. This event is outdoors, strollers and wagons are welcome. Candy/treat bags suggested.

Click here for parking instructions: Please use the TRIBE parking lot. It faces Hanna Ave, and is located across from the entrance to the elementary school parking lot.

The estimated time to complete the stroll is 30-60 minutes. Some families may enjoy some activities longer than others.
Giddens and Ghouls—Sunday, October 31st from 6-8 pm at Giddens Park
The Southeast Seminole Heights Civic Association proudly presents: GIDDENS AND GHOULS ! Join us at Giddens Park on Halloween night for fun games, trick or treating, and a costume contest! Why trick or treat at random houses when the party is all in one place?!

Neighbors are asked to set up decorated trick or treat tables for our local young vampires and witches! The TOP THREE best decorated tables will win GREAT PRIZES! So bring your best ghoulish gear!

We will have spooky music, games, trick or treating and other fun events for your little goblins to enjoy! As well as FREE HOTDOGS and snacks! TRICK OR TREATING RUNS FROM 6-8pm.

The COSTUME CONTEST will have AMAZING PRIZES with GUEST JUDGES! COSTUME CONTEST will be at 7:30 pm!
Apply for the Mayor's Youth Corps
The Mayor's Youth Corps focuses on:

  • Providing a direct communication link between the Mayor and the youth of the City of Tampa.
  • Providing the experience of working with city government and instill a sense of civic responsibility.
  • Providing leadership opportunities.
  • Providing opportunities for hands-on, effective service to the citizens and the city.
  • Promoting and recognizing the accomplishments and contributions of youth to the City of Tampa.
