This gripping revolutionary drama brings exciting voices to Zurich: the internationally sought-after Korean tenor Yonghoon Lee can be heard as the poet Andrea Chénier, Zurich audience favorite George Petean as the revolutionary and rival Carlo Gérard. The Italian soprano Erika Grimaldi, who falls in love with Chénier as the Count's daughter Maddalena di Coigny and ultimately joins him in death, will be appearing at Opernhaus Zürich for the first time.
