About the Series
"David Holt's State of Music" features music from emerging young artists as well as veteran performers of American traditional music. Shot entirely on location in Southern Appalachia, the series showcases the musical heritage and scenic beauty of the region while introducing viewers to masters of the bluegrass, roots music, blues, new acoustic, Celtic and gospel music genres.
Season 6 features Ruthie Foster, the Becky Buller Band, Darrell Scott, Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer, Paul Brown and Terri McMurray, John Doyle with Andrew Finn Magill and Will MacMorran, and Jontavious Willis.
