Samsung has stopped shipping the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro to retailers due to quality control issues.

As Android Authority reports, some early buyers found that the Buds 3 Pro's ear tips were fragile and prone to breaking. After receiving several complaints, Samsung decided to halt shipments while it conducts an internal quality check.

"To ensure all products meet our quality standards, we have temporarily suspended deliveries of Galaxy Buds 3 Pro devices to distribution channels to conduct a full quality control evaluation before shipments to consumers take place," Samsung tells Android Authority.

Samsung advises customers with the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro to contact the company or visit a Samsung Service Centre if they experience any issues.

Unveiled at Unpacked earlier this month, the earbuds were scheduled to go on sale by July 24, though some pairs apparently went out to early buyers. As one person on Reddit posted a few days ago, "I've fallen victim of the eartip tearing off and leaving behind the plastic base."

The Samsung website now lists the ship date as Aug. 28. Product listings were also removed from Best Buy and Amazon, Android Authority notes.

A customer also shared a screenshot of the message they received after placing a pre-order, which includes an apology from Samsung for the delay, an opportunity to cancel the order, and a promise to refund the value of the purchase if they already received a faulty unit.
