In the past I've used big scallop shells to make gorgeous trinket dishes to give as gifts. This time I had some large gnarly looking oyster shells that I wanted to repurpose into something. Collected these shells along the gulf coast of Fl over the past few years. My grandma lost her incredible shell collection so I made this for her birthday. I bought the standing wreath at Michaels and then wrapped in fat natural beige ribbon and hot glued the shells. Seem to be holding on fine! If you di this project, I suggest starting eith your bigger shells and then fill in according to size. Have fun!!
