55 Beautiful African Poems for Kids- I write a quite a bit of prose, mainly rushed stories. A lot of them, but not all aimed at children. But poetry is a exchange matter, though I liked to retrieve and listen to all sorts of poetry. I had always avoided aggravating to write it, mainly because I hadn't a clue how to go very nearly it (still haven't). I, Too is a short, free verse poem that focuses on African American identity within the dominant white culture of the USA. It explains the history of oppression of black people by means of slavery, denial of rights and inequality. The line states "I, too, sing America". This in particular is as important as the entirety of the poem. It means not only whites are Americans, but African Americans are citizens and should be treated equally. #blackpoetry Black Poems African Americans, Black Poetry African Americans, Assonance Poems, South African Poems, African Poems, White Culture, Free Verse Poems, Poems Deep, Black Poets
