This bangle - decorated with petit point - dates to the 1950s and was made in Austria. Petit point is needlepoint done on a very fine silk mesh instead of canvas. In the 1950s through to the 1970s, Vienna was the place to go for accessories decorated with petit point. During the 1960s, Hong Kong rose in prominence as the place to get petit point purses and other accessories.
