Yellow rose of texas

Since MC119 was "April Showers" (OK, "Stormy Weather") and since so many of us have been experiencing such weather this month, it seems only natural to me that the follow up Mini Challenge (#120) is "May Flowers." As natural a choice as this seems, I have to offer the disclaimer that I do not do much in the way of flower photography...though I bet quite a few of you do.

Thinking of TX whenever I see yellow roses.

"There's a yellow rose in Texas, that I am going to see. Her eyes are bright as diamonds, they sparkle like the sea".... I used to sing this in elementary school during music class and I still find myself humming the tune to this day.
