When a woman goes into labor, the dried Myriam flower is submerged in water. It looks like a placenta. As labor progresses, the flower hydrates. When it blooms, the mother's cervix will also be fully bloomed and she will be ready to give birth. She drinks from the water to support her labor and to decrease the pain of contractions.
The first 40 days after birth are critical to the mother’s well being. This is the time that, despite how she may seem on the outside, she needs the proper support.
