French Black Leather Gaiters, Spats, Hiking, Riding, Ankle Chaps, Hunting Equestrian, Victorian Era, Period Clothing Amazing French Victorian black leather gaiters. Very high quality with thick well cared for supple black leather. They have original buckles, straps for under the foot. 16 eye lace up with 8 grommets. Unlined. Made incredibly well. Victorian era. Stamped inside with the number 2. Measures; 10.5" height, 11" ankle circumference, 15" circumference at the top, 15" at the bottom. Leather is soft and supple with some scuffing and marks from natural use, the inner lining is in good condition and does show some marks and stains. One leather strap (black one, may be a replacement), one loose metal lace ring missing and one is loose (and still in place under the lace), they have been used and enjoyed however are in well preserved condition.
