Black Adam (2022) Swara Salih While Black Adam‘s scattered script doesn’t do its characters and story full justice, the characters, visuals, and hilarious yet heartfelt moments ensure that you’ll still have a fun time.

Avatar: The Way of Water (2022) Swara Salih Overall, Avatar: The Way of Water is a colossal disappointment on a story and character level, saved only by its stunning visuals (at least when they’re not too garish).

The Imaginary (2023) Laura Sirikul There are many deep and heartfelt moments that children who have experienced grief and loneliness can understand. While adults can enjoy, the film is aimed at children who imagine these worlds and want to immerse themselves in a good animated movie.

Inside Out 2 (2024) Laura Sirikul The film serves its purpose of setting up Riley’s journey into those teen years, reminding audiences of the importance of our feelings but never letting them define us. The film is a bit of a mess in the second half, but that’s just how life is

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (2024) Laura Sirikul Overall, Frozen Empire banks on the nostalgic fan-service a little too much. What is the point of creating a new legacy of heroes when everyone is still stuck in the past?

The Marvels (2023) Laura Sirikul The Marvels is far from perfect. But, it’s nonetheless entertaining. It’s exciting to see three women superheroes actually work together and actually complementing each others’ individual powers to get the job done.

Strays (2023) Laura Sirikul Strays was disappointing and predictable and could have easily been fixed if they moved on from overplayed jokes into something more meaningful. The film is meant to be crude, but that shouldn’t overpower the story.

4/5
Blue Beetle (2023) Laura Sirikul Blue Beetle is a fun and action-packed film filled with heartwarming moments, especially with the Reyes family, which is the film’s greatest strength. Though Blue Beetle succeeds in its heroes, it fails its villains by the one-dimensional Victoria Kord.

Meg 2: The Trench (2023) Laura Sirikul Despite the dark tones in the beginning of the film, The Meg 2: The Trench is humorous when it knows it’s nonsensical nature and allows monsters to do what they’re supposed to do.

Shotgun Wedding (2023) Laura Sirikul Shotgun Wedding is entertaining only during the third act as Lopez transitions from Rom-Com Queen to her Fighter mode. It just took so long to get there. The film would have fared better if it focused on the romantic portions rather than action gimmicks.

Emergency Declaration (2021) Laura Sirikul The film was filled with so many twists and turns that you don’t really notice the long duration. It also amps up the anxiety and stakes by adding more and more surprises.

Bullet Train (2022) Laura Sirikul Though not without its controversy, the film is an enjoyable romp to sit down and take all in for its outrageous action and over-the-top story.

Better Nate Than Ever (2022) Laura Sirikul Although the acting is a bit cheesy and the musical numbers were forgettable, Better Nate Than Ever doesnt forget their target audience.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022) Laura Sirikul Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness is a spectacle to watch, but it seems to be just that. It brings something new to the superhero genre, but overstuffed and rushed with content that it loses on the character development.

Judas and the Black Messiah (2021) Valerie Complex Director Shaka King doesn't employ cheap camera tricks or choppy edits to explain how this all went down. He lets the rawness of the story speak for itself.
