Applied rubrics, scoring guides, scoring procedures and data-entry methods as defined by EQAO to score the
Grade 10 Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT).
Selected as an expert scorer to ensure high validity and reliability of scores.
Planned and facilitated play-based learning centres and investigation centres for students to engage in.
Taught lessons in mathematics using the interactive SMART Board.
Used both diagnostic and summative assessment strategies, including observations, anecdotal record
keeping, summative assessment tasks, and documentation to track student progress and assess student
learning.
Conducted reading fluency and comprehension assessments with Grade 5 and 6 students, using the Fountas
and Pinnell Benchmark Assessment System 2.
Planned and conducted novel study with Grade 5 students using the Fountas and Pinnell Leveled Literacy
Intervention System.
Received a strong formative assessment, as well as on-going positive feedback from the associate teacher,

Designed and delivered engaging lessons in language, science, mathematics, and visual arts to a class of 21
students.
Introduced daily mindfulness practice to the class.
Taught a math unit on Telling Time by applying differentiated instruction, based on individual needs,
interests, abilities and expectations.
Taught ESL to native Arabic speakers, aged 8 to 12, with basic English language experience.

Supervised an end of unit field trip to the Science Centre.
Designed hands-on experiments, small-group inquiry projects, presentations, class discussions, and daily
observations of plants to engage the class of 20 students in a science unit on soil.
Worked collaboratively with a team of 5 teacher candidates to design, administer, and run a successful
school-wide mental health awareness day.
Co-presented workshops for K to Grade 5 children on how to manage stress through art/painting.
