Atlin Owens Miller

Atlin Owens Miller (left), shown at a Florida State football camp, will attend Evangel Christian Academy this season. The senior is the son of former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens.

The facelift continues for the 2024 Evangel Eagles.

A host of players who transferred from other area schools – and didn’t play last season – will be ready to go for head coach Denny Duron for the upcoming season.

The latest addition is a 6-foot-5 senior receiver.

Atlin Owens Miller comes to Shreveport from Southridge High in Miami, where he played basketball and football.

"I'm looking forward to everything at Evangel. It's new and I like it," Miller, who has family in Shreveport, told the Shreveport-Bossier City Advocate.

He comes to the Broadacres Road campus with one heck of a pedigree.

Miller’s father is Pro Football Hall of Fame (Class of 2018) wide receiver Terrell Owens, who played three of his 15 professional seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. His career includes 1,078 catches (eighth all-time) for 15,934 yards (third all-time) and 153 touchdowns (third all-time).
