I use Socrative in all of my courses and I love it. Socrative makes the classroom experience more dymanic and fun. The app allows me to transition seamlessly between lecture and classroom response activities. I can cover a concept and assess student understanding all with a few easy iPad swipes. Socrative’s flexibility allows me to design anything from basic review questions, to interactive guessing games, to thought experiments, to data collection for SoTL research. I have observed how using the app increases student interest and participation, making each lesson more valuable and enjoyable for everyone.

Socrative is extremely helpful in my lectures. I use Socrative to create a quick quiz at the beginning of every session using multiple choice and short answer questions. I love Socrative since it provides a friendly platform for users. In addition, I can easily monitor and keep track of student progress and see the performance of the class. With the Pro account, I can open many different quizzes in different rooms. I also love the report functions of Socrative – it stores all the reports from the class and also provides some basic statistic on the performance of my students. This saves me much time in understanding whether my questions in the quiz are challenging to my students.

I have been using Socrative for many years in my classroom, my students love it! It makes my classes interactive, students are much more involved and especially the space race makes them ‘eager on the content’. I use Socrative to implement Just in Time Teaching and Peer Instruction. I have tried many students response systems, but have chosen Socrative because of its user friendliness (both for students and teacher), it always works (also very important!) and you can start simple.

I love the ability to create assessments and to use them in a variety of ways. I also appreciate the immediacy of feedback for me and for my students.
