Gulfport Gecko Fest: It’s time for the 24th annual “Live from Gulfport, It’s Gecko Night”-themed street festival. The event is pet-friendly, and costumes are encouraged. No cover. 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday (Aug. 31). Gulfport Casino, 5500 Shore Blvd. S., Gulfport. 727-893-1070.

Florida’s Largest Home Show: The show features an array of exhibits from home improvement experts, showcasing the latest in home design, renovation and landscaping.
