The Greatest Showman: Sing-along: Hugh Jackman plays P.T. Barnum in the 2017 musical celebration of the life of one of America’s true original entertainment pioneers. It is full of catchy songs and the most widely requested sing-along in Tampa Theatre history. As Barnum knew, sometimes you just have to give the people what they want. Earthquake: His first recurring character was as Uncle Mike from the hit sitcom, “Everybody Hates Chris.” Most recently Quake is enjoying recurring roles on CBS’ “The Neighborhood” starring Cedric the Entertainer and preparing for the third season of the breakout hit series, “Johnson” for the Bounce network. $42-$52. 7 and 9:30 p.m. Friday (Sept. 6); 6:30 and 9 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 7). Opera Tampa: In celebration of Spanish Heritage Month, Opera Tampa presents “Spanish Nights”, a concert highlighting the essence of Hispanic culture. Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse: Audiences will see the film presented on a huge HD screen, accompanied by a range of musicians and instrumentalists performing music from the film’s score and soundtrack live. This will include an orchestra, a scratch DJ on turntables, percussion and electronic instruments. $35-$65. 7 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 4). US 103.5′s Country Jam: Platinum recording artist Cody Jinks headlines the US 103.5 Country Jam, joined by up-and-coming Texas singer-songwriter Jake Worthington in an evening that helps benefit Feeding Tampa Bay. $44.50. 7 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 7). Shinyribs: Shinyribs is a melting pot of Texas Blues, New Orleans R&B funk, horn-driven Memphis soul, country twang, border music, big band swing and roots-rock. Reimagining Nature: Dalí's Floral Fantasies: “Reimagining Nature: Dalí's Floral Fantasies” presents Salvador Dalí's best-loved botanical print suites sourced from the museum’s collection. This special exhibition features three rarely displayed suites of botanical prints made by Dalí between 1968 and 1972. These works transform renderings of fruits and flowers, reimagining them as surreal creations at the height of the pop era. Included in the price of admission 10 a.m.-6 p.m. daily.
