SUCCESS STORY
GAF

As North America's largest roofing manufacturer, GAF needed to move its entire IT infrastructure to the cloud and quickly. With Tanium, the move to the cloud took only four weeks.

The move to Tanium Cloud

Monitoring endpoint operations within a cloud-first strategy

When roofing and waterproofing manufacturer GAF announced a companywide move to the public cloud, it was already using Tanium on premises for vulnerability monitoring. But the shift was a big one. It included shutting GAF’s primary data center and moving some 5,100 endpoints to the public cloud.

A smooth move to Tanium

GAF worked with its Tanium account managers to adopt Tanium Cloud, which offers the full functionality of the Tanium platform as a fully managed, cloud-based service. What’s more, Tanium Cloud requires zero customer infrastructure. The result? “We never skipped a beat,” says Jim Pantopicos, GAF’s director of workplace technologies.

Big benefits

By moving to Tanium Cloud, GAF enjoyed nearly 100% compliance with Google’s Chrome browser update, much faster endpoint imaging (20 minutes vs. the previous 2 hours), and improved reporting on — and remediating — known vulnerabilities.

“Without Tanium, we’d have no ability to address our system vulnerabilities.”
