POSITION SUMMARY
REVELXP is currently looking for a passionate individual to work with our accounting/finance team to execute daily, weekly, and monthly accounting processes. As the Senior Accountant, you will report to and support the Accounting Manager and VP of Accounting in building out and executing the accounting processes for our company. The successful candidate will have technical accounting expertise, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be passionate about sports!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties to include, but not limited to the following:
  • Strategic partner to the VP of Accounting and senior leadership team
  • Lead an accurate and timely monthly and year-end close process, including the preparation of monthly/annual financial reports
  • Foster a strong internal control and compliance environment within the business and maintain an appropriate system of policies, internal controls, accounting standards, and procedures 
  • Assessment of technical accounting matters, including revenue recognition under ASC 606, lease accounting under ASC 842, purchase accounting, etc.
  • Collaborate with other department managers to support the overall goals and strategies of the organization
  • Coordinate and execute the production of various ad-hoc financial reports
  • Monitor and analyze department work to assist in the development of more efficient and effective procedures and use of resources 
  • Provide project management and strategic assistance to software and system implementations
  • Assist in the preparation of the company’s annual operating budget 
  • Assist in management of external audit and tax compliance engagements
  • Coach, manage, develop, and motivate team members to perform their duties in an efficient manner and provide regular feedback and performance evaluations
  • Analyze financial results to offer key insights to senior leadership 
  • Research and resolve accounting issues including evaluation and implementation of new accounting pronouncements to ensure US GAAP
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT CANDIDATE?  
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, with strong understanding and working knowledge of GAAP
  • Minimum (5) years' accounting experience, with preferably at least (2) years in public accounting
  • CPA or CPA track preferred
  • NetSuite experience is a plus
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities, attention to detail and accuracy are critical in this position
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical finance and operational initiatives.
